Kicking off the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the sunshine
U-Turn started our Platinum Jubilee celebrations playing at The Poacher & Partridge in Tudeley, near Tonbridge, Kent. The weather was fine and the beer garden was full as was the pub. The Poacher & Partridge is a fantastic open plan pub with floor to ceiling glass doors leading to the extensive beer garden. The views across Kentish farmland are expansive and we were treated to views of powered paragliders or fan gliders. It’s a great place to take the family with its garden grill bar and the kids play area.
U-Turn formed up with Neil, Chris, Rob, Pete B, Steve L, Dan Evans and Stuart M on drums. We played a more chilled set first while the sun was up and switched to a more funky set after sundown.
Another memorable gig in the garden and a special thanks to the staff at The Poacher & Partridge Tudeley for looking after us even though they were rushed off their feet!
