Late summer evening gig near Maidstone
U-Turn were back yet again this time playing at The Potting Shed in Langley, near Maidstone, Kent. This time we were playing an early evening gig outside the pub – it was fingers crossed they would be no rain. The Potting Shed is a spacious architect-designed pub with marquees outside. The beer garden lawn and play area stretch down to the long patio (where we played) beside the floor to ceiling glass doors. The high ‘A’ frame interior is inspired by Scandinavian architecture and gives has an open plan feel. We’d highly recommend a visit!
U-Turn formed up with Neil, Chris, Rob, Pete B, Dan Evans again along with Callum May who made his U-Turn debut. Just before we started the large electric awnings were opened to provide cover from the rain which was threatening. Probably one of the most comical moments this summer ensued with the awnings opening and closing on their own accord – very funny! Despite that minor hiccup we had a very enjoyable evening and completed the usual two x three quarter hour sets.
